Internship FAQ

  • How long can you go on an internship?

Between 6 weeks and 18 months.

  • From which working background are these internships that you offer at the moment?

There are two different programs:

Global Internship Program (GIP) - including management, technical, professional and long-term educational internships

Global Community Development Program (GCDP) - including educational, development, mostly voluntary internships

  • And where?
AIESEC is present in more than 100 countries. Depending on whether you are in the Global Internship Program or in the International Development Program you can choose from a variety of countries on all continents

  • What about costs?

Membership in AIESEC Graz itself is free of charge, if you want to go on an internship though, you have to pay 100€ access fee for the internship database. Additionally, there are the following costs depending on the type and duration of your internship:

Pool

6 Weeks –
8 Months

8-18 Months

Global Community Development Programme

200*

Global Internship Programme

350*

450*

* included bail of 50€, which gets refunded after an evaluation of the internship and attendance of a reintegration seminar.

  • What do I get paid?

As internships in the International Development Program (development and educational internships) are often hosted by another NGO in your preferred country, which usually are on a tight budget, they are mostly not paid or you just get pocket money. However you will  very likely get food and accomodation provided for the duration of your internship.
Internships in the Global Internship Program (management and technical traineeships) are usually paid, but also harder to get.

  • Sounds great so far, when can I go?

Any time of the year. It's recommended to approach us about 4 months in advance before your desired start time to be able to handle all the tasks like cultural preparation and getting your visa (if needed).
